Fall isn’t complete without a trip to the pumpkin patch! Luckily, families in Ventura County don’t have to travel far to find picture-perfect farms, corn mazes, hayrides, and fields filled with pumpkins of every size. These local farms are ready to welcome you for weeks of autumn fun.

Whether you’re searching for the perfect carving pumpkin, snapping family photos among the vines, or getting lost in a corn maze, our guide will help you plan the perfect seasonal outing. Many farms also offer extras like hayrides, petting zoos, and fall festivals, making them a must-visit destination for both kids and kids at heart.

Prancer's Farm

Address: 18540 E Telegraph Rd, Santa Paula, CA 93060

Details:

  • Must buy admission tickets online ahead of time. Admission $20 to $26 on weekends, $13 on weekdays. Ages 2 and under free and free parking
  • Big working farm with 10 acres of pumpkin picking, hayrides, corn maze, hay pyramid, petting zoo and more
  • Themed weekends like Hero’s of the Farm, Wild West at the Farm, Fiesta at the Farm, Harvest at the Farm, and Animals of the Farm. The weekend event features food trucks, movie nights, a petting zoo, a pumpkin patch, a costume contest, animal education, and much more!

Conejo Family Farms Pumpkin Patch (brand new!)

Address: 5937 Ridge View St, Camarillo, CA 93012

Admission: $5 and free for kids 5 and under.

Opening Dates: September 17th - October 31st

Hours:

Wednesday & Thursday: 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Friday: 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Saturday: 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM

Sunday: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM

More Info: Pumpkins, hayrides, corn maze, hay maze, & BBQ available on weekends.


McGrath Great Pacific Pumpkins

Address: 5100 Olivas Park Dr, Ventura, CA 93003

Details: Come pick out your perfect pumpkin on the farm! With tractor rides, a hay-maze, and plenty of photo opportunities.  

Waiting to hear about their opening dates - last year it was Oct 1st. Stay tuned!


Big Wave Dave's Pumpkin Patch

Address: 103 S. Mills Rd (in the Pacific View Mall parking lot near Target) Ventura, CA

Details:

  • Pumpkin Patch open October 1st thru October 31st 10am to 9pm daily
  • Free admission - Stroll under the Big Tent while picking that Perfect Pumpkin-from Mini to Giant.


Underwood Family Farms Fall Festival in Moorpark

Address: 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark

Details:

  • Weekday admission is $14 at the gate only. Weekend admission varies from $22 to $28 per person purchased online. Children 2 and under and parking are free.
  • By far the largest pumpkin patch in the area, Underwood's Fall Festival is a whole-day adventure. There is a huge pumpkin patch, tractor-drawn wagon rides, corn maze, giant tractor display, hay pyramids, animal center, and many other family-friendly activities. Themed weekend events include animal shows, pig races, live performers, roaming entertainment and more. There are also more ticketed activities like corn cannons, games, rides, etc.

Underwood Family Farms in Somis

Address: 5696 Los Angeles Avenue, Somis

Details:

  • Free admission with paid activities like feeding the goats. Open daily from 9am-6pm
  • A much smaller pumpkin patch than it's sister location in Moorpark, this farm still has plenty of pumpkins, photo opportunities, goats, and a great selection of produce




Bonus: Get ready for a frightfully fun time at Boo at the Zoo! This event is perfect for the whole family, so bring the kids and come enjoy a safe, fun-filled day at the zoo. Costumes are highly encouraged, and don’t forget to bring your trick-or-treat bags!

Boo at the Zoo is more than just Halloween fun—it’s a chance to support The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College, where students in our Animal Care and Training program learn to care for wildlife while educating the community. Your attendance helps us create unforgettable experiences for both people and animals!
